Simsbury Man Faces Charges In Internet Investigation

GLASTONBURY
A 43-year-old Simsbury man, who police say didn't realize the "13-year-old female" he contacted on the Internet and wanted to take sexually explicit photos of was a police officer, knows it now.
Jason Wasserman of 18 Adams Road in the Weatogue section of Simsbury was arrested today after, police said, he came to Glastonbury to engage in sexual activity with what he assumed was a 13-year-old girl.
Wasserman is charged with criminal attempt to commit a crime, in this case risk of injury to a minor, and using a computer to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity.
Police said Wasserman's arrest stems from a five-month Internet investigation. The female Wasserman was in contact with was actually an undercover officer.
Wasserman was released after posting bond of $275,000 and scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Manchester. The date of his appearance was unavailable Friday evening.
