I don't know enough about politics to know which type of government is best for Simsbury but I do know that the current form isn't it. As it stands, the first selectman is not held accountable for her actions, or inactions, by anyone. She can show up, not show up, do lots of stuff, do nothing, and no one has the authority to question her. Meanwhile, employees at town hall have to answer to her. Seems like a double standard. I was hoping against hope that MG's second time in office would be different but it seems like more of the same and there doesn't seem to be anyone better on the horizon. Its easy to point fingers at past administrations but ultimately that's not helpful and shows a lack of class regardless of which party is doing the finger pointing. I wish things would get better but...
