I have to chime in...
I was never an advocate of a larger library especially given that the old library was never that crowded (except for the kids' section at storytime) and that it had a well founded reputation for keeping outdated books on the shelves to "prove the needed more space". Whenever I voiced this opinion I was met with looks of shock as though I were saying to burn the library to the ground. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the money spend on the library expansion was wasted.
