Nope. didn't home school my kids. I put my tax dollars to work and let the Simsbury public schools educate them.
I guess I should correct myself regarding kids going to the commons. I have no problem with kids going to the movies, then to Chili's or Coldstone, etc. My issue is with the kids who just randomly hang out in front of the movie theater or Starbucks for hours on end. One night I was shopping near the Gap and when I was trying to back out, there were so many kids hanging out in front of SB some were in the road and wouldn't even move so I could leave. That is the behavior I don't like. That and having to walk through a cloud of smoke while walking on the sidewalk. I was wrong to make a generalization about all the kids who patronize the commons. Sorry.
