Hopefully, we will see more shows at the venue this summer or next. I think they're forming an exploratory committee to see if they should hire a director for the facility. It'll only cost us a couple hundred grand to figure it out and then hire someone for another 100k to do it.
Sound to me like someone from Parks and Rec should get the calls out and save us a few bucks. I am sure they're all working hard, no disrespect to any of them, as I have seen how hard they work during the ice skating season and pool season. There must be someone, somewhere, with the talent to promote, or even find a promoter, who would do it for the percentage profits that they could reap.
Another town employee, benefit package, etc will just cost us too much.
Hey, I hear Tom is looking for work now.....maybe we can just hire him back and give him back his time off............
