Simsbury Meadows = LAME! - 2008/03/23 02:16
Hi there! Im new to this board! ... It seems like a lot of fun! I wanted to talk about the Simsbury Meadows. Its cool that the HSO comes every year, but that seems to be it. No big name acts. The Beach Boys were the most famous people we've had there! ... I went to the concert for the Temptations and The Four Tops and it was SO much fun! But I just wish each summer would bring 3 or 4 really high profile shows, that would bring life to our little town and moeny into our hotels and restaurants! The Simsbury Meadows would be a perfect venue for acts like: DIANA ROSS, JAMES TAYLOR, HARRY CONNICK JR, GLORIA ESTEFAN, DAMIEN RICE, JILL SCOTT ETC... I also wish they would have hot young acts that would attract the kids to the arena... acts that are becoming famous but aren't quite big enough to fill arenas or theatres yet.. someone like Sara Barailes. I just think its one of the coolest things our town has to offer.. and its not used at all.
