Re:Next court date Mon 1/28/08 - 2008/02/02 17:15
JDbya,
I don't think bringing the children into it is way out of line at all since it is a commentary on what is to come based on these parents' disregard of the law and of others. Unfortunately, as I also commented, the Borrino's are not the only parents who act this way.
Years ago, there was a family in town who people would say the same thing about; the rules didn't apply to them. One of the daughters let her 14 year old sister drive. This girl hit someone on their way home, pushing her into oncoming traffic. Luckily, my mother was able to avoid getting killed. The sister who should have been driving immediately called her father who came and told the 14 year old to walk home before the police got there. Since it was a "she said/she said" situation, and because the father was friendly with members of the police department, nothing happened to this girl. Not even a warning!
Personally, I find this whole situation sad because it didn't need to get this far but I am not going to stop giving my opinions either just because others don't agree. I also think that the Borrino's are the ones who owe someone an apology.
