Worst Traffic Lights - 2007/07/23 20:45
OK, Worst Traffic Lights! I was in Avon today coming from Avon hardware direction going towards Sims. Common's. What is up with the way the traffic vs. lights work there? There is a green arrow to turn left only. The one other lane is for forward traffic or turning right. All the traffic gets stuck between waiting for cars to go straight across, etc. before most turn right, or the other side turning out of the mall to turn left. If they redid that light for better safety control (as the old way was not good either. But I think the old way was better than the new) then someone should think again! What would be good is: somehow three lanes there, with of course the right lane turning right only. Actually the way it works at that exact light, but on 44 going straight, left, or right! Daah! It's the safest, and easiest solution!
Hey, they finally got it right with the light coming from 44 going onto W. Mountain. They give a couple of seconds for a green arrow light there now. That works! GG
