In some respects I agree with you. Nobody should be picked on. In my day, if someone picked on you eventually it ended up in a scuffle behind the school, and usually the bully lost (picture Malfoy getting decked by Hermione in the Prisoner of Azkaban - LOL).
That isn't allowed nowadays. But you are absolutely right that kids can really hurt each other without even realizing it. And that is a shame. And to think, most of that kind of behavior is to "impress" the other kids. To be the center of the spotlight. Such a shame.
I am glad that you have found a way to cope with that type of behavior without "snapping". Most people do. I think there is more to the story with Cho. He worked for weeks on his "maifesto". He planned this for a long time. It is unfortunate that nobody was close enough to him to see what was happening. Unfortunate for all those he killed, but also for him. What a waste.
