Suprise! And congratulations!
This message is to all of us - everyone! We have all been named as the TIME "Person of the Year"! Incredible! Little did any of us know that we were even nominated! See the article here.
The annual honor for 2006 went to each and every one of us, as Time cited the shift from institutions to individuals - citizens of the new digital democracy, as the magazine put it. The winners this year were anyone using or creating content on the World Wide Web.
But really - this is funny. We were in great company though. TIME also nominated:
- Dictator Hugo Chavez
- Dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
- Nancy Pelosi
- The YouTube Guys
- George W. Bush
- Al Gore
- Condoleezza Rice
- Dictator Kim Jong Il
Well...I'm glad I (we) won! Although I might have voted for the YouTube Guys.
