I was in Dearborn Michigan and the malls there have rules about teenagers-they must be accompanied by an adult after 5pm on weekdays and 7pm on weekends. I guess Christmas shopping would be difficult if mom and dad have to be with you.
Parents being responsible is a great idea. Some in our town really don't seem to care too much about what their kids are up to. You have to try and talk to teenagers-drag the information out without becoming an enemy. What about if the kids get in trouble the parents are in some way held responsible?
Hartford is not that far away from Simsbury. I kind of think you have to put measures in place before the problem manifests itself in our town. A curfew is not a bad idea-it shows we (Simsbury) care.
