Re:Pay for Play is up to $150.00 per child per sport last year it was $75.0 - 2006/10/16 16:07
If the school said that we dont have enough money for the Math Class, you would have the entire town asking the same questions that I am asking. They put the price tag on sports so that only a select bunch feel guilty into paying to have their kids play sports. It really has nothing to do with sports. When you look at the SHS yearbook they do have tons of clubs. Your right, maybe if we charged everyone a equal fees for Chess Club, and Gay Club,..maybe just the highschool parents who's kids play sports would'nt get whacked for what is really a couple of raises for upper management. $3.00 for every home or would have taken care of the entire expense. Not every kid plays sports,..but not every kid every kid takes calculus. Maybe the school should start charging a Co-pay everytime a student goes to the Nurses office. Or even a Co-pay to talk to the School Phycologist. (just kidding) The school does have a cap on this. You pay $150.per child/per sport $100. for Parking and no more than $600. per family per year. If you have two kids, playing two sports, that would be $600 per year,..and I believe you still pay $100. for parking. I would not have cared if the school had 14 principles,...I didnt start to ask questions until I got hit with this $600.00 bill.
