 Selectmen or Selectwoman - 2006/08/24 15:16 Does anyone know, when Mary Glassman was the Selectmen or is the proper term Selectwoman, was she paid or not paid, and was she part-time? Thanks.

Welcome back BTW. I do not remember if Mary was paid, but I suspect she was. I also think it was full-time, but could be wrong.

In comparrison, how on earth did John Roland survive as governor only making 80,000 a year. He should have come over the mountain to work here.

'Course Rowland had free housing and transportation. I would guess that helped. And like many of our current crop of politicians - he got caught taking bribes. Good way to supplement your income if you can afford it. ___________________

Mrs. Glassman was paid and it was full time although I did hear that when she first started she tended to leave the office early because of her kids. Its only heresay but I remember thinking that if a man were in that position and did the same thing, people wouldn't stand for it. As for John Rowland, he obviously wasn't getting by on $80,000 a year which is why he saw the inside of a jail cell.

 Re:Selectmen or Selectwoman - 2006/08/26 17:11 I never heard of the HR director. I missed that debate. I know they have 3 vice principles and I know they hired a assistant vice principle. I dont know if that is part of the 3 vice principles, or that is actually a 4th vice principle. I will have to chek my own yearbook,..because my school was 4 times the size, and I belive we only had one principle, one vice principle, and no school phycologist. (sorry, cud never spell that word)
